This year fifth grade teacher, Mr. Pascucci, set his homeroom students up with senior-citizen pen pals from the Beverly Council on Aging, where his wife works as the Assistant Director. The students were assigned a pen pal and wrote letters back and forth about every other week.
On Thursday, May 24th, the students and seniors had a chance to meet in person when the seniors came to visit. The students took their pen pals on a tour of the new school, shared pictures and other personal items, looked at a slide show of pictures, and sat and talked. It was a great chance to talk and be with the seniors and everybody really enjoyed it.
