G.E.O. Day at Howe-Manning

On Tuesday, April 26th the students at HM traveled to the Far East during G.E.O. Day to try vegetarian sushi.  A guest chef from Whitson's made gorgeous sushi with fresh avocado, cucumber and ginger – and even mixed quinoa into the rice for a nice texture.  The student vote was 113 yes to add the item to the menu and 122 voted no.  But those who voted yes came up for seconds, thirds and fourths so that should count for something!  Thank you to Mrs. Bentley's 6th grade students Barri Yanofsky and Eva Qirjazi who created an presented and amazing media slideshow highlighting this region and the food associated with it.
